At the 2nd Inauguration of the Ijaw Publishers Forum (IPF), Prince Collins Eselemo made a historic and far-reaching commitment to the growth of the organization. In a bold demonstration of his dedication to the advancement of Ijaw media, he donated a fully secured flat to serve as the permanent Secretariat of the Forum, bringing an end to concerns about operational stability and giving the body a lasting institutional base.

Beyond the donation, Eselemo unveiled an ambitious vision for the future the establishment of an IPF Radio and Television station in the Niger Delta. He explained that the proposed broadcast platforms would amplify Ijaw voices, promote indigenous perspectives, preserve cultural heritage, and strengthen advocacy on issues affecting the region.

The announcement electrified the atmosphere, drawing prolonged applause and standing ovations from members and guests. Many described the gesture as a turning point in the Forum’s history, one that signals a new era of structure and media independence.

Addressing the gathering, Eselemo urged publishers to draw a firm line between independent journalism and political propaganda. He stressed that the credibility of the Forum must rest on integrity, courage, and truth rather than political patronage or personal interests.

“The strength of journalism lies in its independence,” he affirmed.

Eselemo explained that his participation in the inauguration was anchored on assurances from the Forum that its members would remain selfless, resolute, and incorruptible. He emphasized that these virtues must go beyond mere words and be reflected consistently in practice.

He further challenged the publishers to view their profession as a personal and collective mission to liberate the Ijaw people from marginalization, misinformation, and historical neglect. According to him, the Ijaw nation has long awaited fearless and principled voices capable of telling its story with clarity and honesty.
